Are you having trouble with floor shaking complaints in your office?
This is an example of countermeasures against walking vibration and traffic vibration in an office space. The AMDs, which can stop unpleasant vibrations with minimal space and simple installation, and are quiet in operation, were used to create a comfortable office environment.

One office had an “employee break space” room, which was used by employees to eat and spend their break time.
However, many people voiced discomfort when they felt the floor swaying when people walked by or when large vehicles drove around the building, and it was decided to consider some countermeasures for a comfortable work environment.
The countermeasures needed to ensure that the rest area would not become unusable due to construction or disturb employees who were using the room, and that the operating noise during use would be as low as possible.
Yacmo conducted a demonstration of a portable AMD (50 kg type) that also served as a survey of current vibration conditions. This revealed that the cause of uncomfortable shaking was due to floor resonance phenomena, and allowed employees to experience the vibration reduction effect of the AMD and the actual operating noise.
counter-measure
A 50 kg type AMD (YAMD-0050), which is easy to carry in and install and quiet in operation, was installed. The number of units installed was one unit x 3 spans for a total of 3 units near the center of a 10.3m x 10.3m area enclosed by a large beam. Installation was performed during normal business days while employees were in use, and was completed in one day.

The floor resonance phenomenon has been greatly reduced, and employees have commented that the floor swaying has decreased.
