Horizontal 2D seismic isolation floor system

HORIZONTAL TWO-DIMENSIONAL SEISMIC ISOLATION FLOOR SYSTEM

This is a seismic isolation floor in the horizontal two-dimensional direction that aims to protect critical equipment from shaking during earthquakes. It reduces horizontal vibration acceleration on the floor during an earthquake.

forte

  • We have obtained performance evaluations for system analysis, shake table testing, seismic isolation performance, and structure from the Performance Evaluation Committee of the Japan Association for Vibration Technology (JAVIT).
  • Since the equipment is unitized, there is a high degree of freedom in design, and it can be used for seismic isolation of a part of a room or an entire room.
  • Changes in floor loading or equipment location do not affect seismic isolation performance.
  • The components used in the seismic isolation system are highly durable and reliable and require no maintenance except for oil dampers.
  • The mortise-shaped bearing returns to its original position after an earthquake, eliminating the need for adjustment.
  • We handle everything from vibration analysis to design construction and performance verification.
  • The following are the results of the analysis with 50kine each of El Centro (NS), Taft (EW), and JMA Kobe (NS) waves as input for seismic isolation effects.

structure

Horizontal seismic isolation

Single ball rolling bearings are placed under the steel beams to support the seismically isolated floor and at the same time reduce horizontal forces transmitted to the floor during earthquakes.

Single Ball Rolling Bearing

The bearing is mortise-shaped, and the inclination of the spherical surface exerts a restoring force proportional to the horizontal displacement.

oil damper

Oil dampers absorb kinetic energy stored in the seismic isolation floor to speed up the shaking.
