AMD (Active Mass Damper) for horizontal vibration (building, wind etc.)

ACTIVE MASS DAMPER

This device is used to reduce horizontal (uniaxial) environmental vibration, such as wind vibration, in buildings. The attached acceleration sensor detects the horizontal vibration of the object, and by tuning the vibration mass to the vibration, the system absorbs and suppresses the horizontal vibration of the object. AMD for vertical vibration isthis way (direction close to the speaker or towards the speaker)

Product Overview

Product name

AMD for horizontal vibration

model number

AMDV-50sl (Vibration mass 50 kg type)

forte

  • Compared to TMD (tuned mass damper), a large effect can be obtained with a small vibration mass.
  • It is more compact (smaller in flat area) than TMD, allowing for greater flexibility in installation space.
  • Because of active control, it is also possible to control for vibration with multiple peak frequencies.
  • The product can be divided into pieces of size and weight that can be carried in by an elevator, eliminating the need for large-scale construction work.
  • Construction can be done after the building is constructed, while the tenant is still operating.

structure

elements

It consists of a vibration mass, frame (body and base), electromagnetic brake, servomotor, acceleration sensor, and control panel.

principle

Vibration of the vibration control target (floor, etc.) is monitored by acceleration sensors, control calculations are performed in real time to reduce the vibration, and the actuator drives the vibration mass.
The program is also tuned to match the characteristics of the measured floor and other items.
